Description
The City of Arts and Sciences has become an nternationally recognized symbol for the holding of all kinds of events,
congresses and conventions. With a total surface area of 350,000m2 and its futuristic image, this big centre dedicated to the spreading of culture and science and designed by the Valencian architect, Santiago Calatrava, consists of L’Hemisfèric, the Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe, L’Umbracle, L’Oceanogràfic and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofia. The City of Arts and Sciences has become the destination for holding national and international events, as well as a great deal of cultural and scientific events, congresses and meetings, combining all these with its contents: planetarium and IMAX cinema, science museum, aquarium and opera house.
Among the most important international events already held here are the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes Launch 2007, the 27th Session of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the Valencia Summit Advertisement 2007.
